I got 70%: “Maybe, We Can.”
There’s also a John McCain quiz.
I’m embarrassed to admit I know more about McCain than I do Obama. I got 80%: “No surrender.”
Must be because I thought Obama talked more about basketball than abandonment in high school. And I listened to Dreams of My Father and [...]

Despite undergoing chemo for his malignant brain tumor, Sen. Kennedy turns up yesterday in DC to cast a decisive vote to protect medicare payments to doctors.
That Obama was at his side to vicariously bask in his glory, no shocker there. But for the second time today, I’m temporarily suspending my ire at my Obama-supporting [...]

A couple weeks back, the Boston Globe ran a pretty salacious piece about derelict private management of affordable housing in Obama’s Senatorial district in Chicago - management put in place by deals made between Obama the politician and his developer donors. Anyhoo, h/t to What About [...]

From a survey of 12,000 working women by Working America and the AFL-CIO, 50% of respondents said that if they had more free time they’d take on a second job. 42% spend more time talking to co-workers than their kids or families; 53% would take a 10% raise over affordable healthcare or childcare.
Two-thirds expected to [...]

This article is chock full of infuriating bullsh*t about GOP machinations to stall a much overdue housing relief bill. Congress expected to have it on Bush’s desk by now, but now the GOP wants to investigate Dodd’s mortgage from Countrywide and the White House has threatened a veto based on $4M in grants to [...]
