Columbus Dispatch: Clinton’s supporters decry sexism in campaign
Riverdaughter: It’s Happening, Reg! It’s really happening!
The worm has turned. We weren’t the only angry ones. No, no, there are thousands more like us and they are P.O.d. I can just hear the party boyz sitting back and joking, “A little bit of an ego trip from the Feminists?” like it was straight out of Life of Brian. No, they don’t take us seriously yet. But this first snowball threatens to become an avalanche. I just want to add one thing: Friends don’t let friends vote Republican. Don’t vote for McCain.
I was the first to warn this was coming. Clinton supporters are ticked.
If Clinton and her female supporters are not respected, they have the power and could stand up and walk out on the Democratic Party to send a message that will reverberate for months and years to come. That message will result in a McCain presidency.
For anyone who doubts this could happen please start reading the comment sections on the Hillary Clinton blogs. Most people are coming from thoughtful political perspectives from activists who are very serious about what’s now unfolding in the Democratic Party. These Clinton supporters who are threatening a protest vote for John McCain are large in number, many of whom are regulars on this blog and in the comment section, with hundreds of emails from lurkers to me every day saying they will not vote for Obama if he’s the nominee. The disrespect for Hillary Clinton has been too wide and too deep in the Democratic Party, and they’re not going to support it anymore.
No voting block in my lifetime has been so utterly disrespected, vilified unjustly with accusations of racism, and basically had to endure endless harangues, while the Democratic Party and so called “progressive” coalition has shown more disrespect to women supporting Clinton than the Republican Party, treating Clinton supporters as second class citizens, especially if you happen to be named Hillary Clinton.
Memo to the Democratic leadership elite: Consider yourselves on notice. Hell hath no fury. Believe it.

This isn’t Hillary specific, but I came up with an idea about forcing the dems up for re-election to do something about the sexism. It’s in my latest post.
I feel the same way that those 2 women who represent thousands and thousands of other women feel.
We need to start now. E-mail the DNC demanding Howard Dean resign.
The sexism has been disgusting in this campaign

Hat tip to Riverdaughter over at The Confluence for breaking this news and “Nana” who first reported it and also posted her report here a TM…
Seems there’s one very brave talk show host in Scranton, PA who is firmly in Hillary Clinton’s camp and has had it with being called a “racist.”

I voted in the Michigan Primary and will only vote for Senator Clinton in 2008, either as the Democratic Presidential candidate or as a write-in vote.
about a month ago I commented on another blog that the clinton haters are beyond scary. Some of the stuff posted is off the charts. I feel now even more that the anti-clinton gang had long decided that it was better to loose the whitehouse to the gop than win with Hillary.
I am very much on the fence with Sen Obama. His only ace card is the supreme court and Roe v Wade. Altho if the Dems can pick up 3-4 senate seats we can block any wing nut nominee from mccain.
there must be an acknowledgement of the sexism and crap thrown at Hillary, by howard dean and senator obama
Mccain was smiling this morning in FL.
I’m still standing for Hillary.
Be ready for a surprise in the vote % in a few days.
Go Hillary! 2008
I am with you women!! Hillary is the only nominee. Please post contacts (DNC committee, Superdelegates) I do not think they are taking us seriously. I will vote McCain if I am forced to.
I am a Republican female who in the past was registered Democrat. I vote for the candidate and not for the party. I was not such a fan of Hillary’s till I read and saw much about her that was brilliant and the class she’s maintained through every plight is recognized presidential. She is experienced and a proud American when the Obama’s are not and the traitors who she’s been combating are simply pigs when they got their prominence from the Clinton’s only to turn on her. Yes, the maverick with the new facial hair was exposed a traitor and Edwards caved to solicit the office of VP for himself at a time when Obama’s been exposed. Iowa would never have voted for him had they heard his ‘honest wife as he said on the morning show today’ exposed him for her anti American comments. Look, no one can embrace a pastor beyond 20 mintues with that much hate and for 20 years it is who they are for both Obama’s as adults to be in that ‘church’. Racism was brought in by Rev Wrong (Wright) and prejudice is their hate mantle not yours or mine. I will do what I can to help HIllary get elected and not because she’s a woman but because she is a proud American and so am I. I am furious that the coverage from Fox beyond that creep Dick Morris is greater for Hillary than what I see on NBC and MSNBC and I am sick of their damaging her. Hillary had the popular vote. My opinon of both Obama, Barack and Michelle, are they are racists and angry individuals who use their hate and allegiance with Farrakghan and Ayers to gain power. I am backing Hillary and she is the graceful fighter she should be … Barack is pulling the race game trying to get guilty white people to vote for him. I have no guilt and love nice black and white people for it is not the color of the skin, it’s what’s inside. Barack Obama would with his wife be a horrific couple in the White House and I’m for Hillary Clinton for her brave demeanor while so many have bashed her in a Media that proves she is female and easily put away. What the media did to Ferraro who I respect is undefensiveable and her reputation has been leveled by lessors who have never been as good as she. I AM NOT A RUSH FAN ANYMORE THAN YOU ARE A DEAN FAN .. Tell me if there is anything I can do to help and know that I want to protect Hillary’s interest in running for President. Cynthia Ruccia was correct on TV when she said it is the women who work hardest for their party and they are the ones who have given Oprah a voice. I saw the 2005 show where Oprah told Hillary to run and walked away from her to support Obama and while she remains wealthy no matter what the outcome, she has lost fans who trusted her. She set Hillary up for failure and I don’t like that either. You have my name .. How may I help?
On Hardball MSNBC I just heard closing a woman identified as Michelle Bernard (spelling to be questionable) saying IF OBAMA IS NOT APPROVED THERE WILL BE RACE RIOTS IN THE STREETS to make sure Hillary isn’t picked to represent her party. THIS MUST END .. PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR HIM OUT OF FEAR AND NO QUESTION ALL THIS DIDN’T COME OUT WHEN HE WAS SENT TO US BY OPRAH AND HIS PAST IS WHO HIS FUTURE WILL BE .. FULL OF HATE AND ANGER AT AMERICA AND RACISM
Continued P.S. from last post… I’ve been reading suggestions to write in Hillary in the election. OK I’ll consider this. It has great appeal to me but I think it will be like voting for Ralph Nader 8 years ago. McCain is NOT a good choice, but in my judgment he is absolutely the lesser of two evils. My attempt will be to join forces with others like Cynthia Ruccia (who inspired me in the FOX interviews - another today) to legally shatter the morally bankrupt Democratic Party and especially Obama. I will do all this should Hillary NOT be nominated. Please join US!
hi i am ready to boycote i think she is being run over by media and obama friends this man make me sick .I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN IF OUR DNC LET HIM WIN SO WHERE DO I SIGN . i am 48 years old i have never vote anything but dem. this makes me so mad but i will do it . thank you linda
We need to organize ………. someone needs to get up a website and promote it. NOW
We have to show the DNC that they can’t cram an unsuitable candidate down our throats. I have always voted Democratic. NO MORE !!
I’m in!
There are lots of websites. We’ve posted about many of them.

James, the sexism has been disgusting. I am sick and tired of women’s groups telling women to vote for woman only because the candidate is a woman. Like the above poster commented. The sad part is no one in the media wants to say things like this because it is politically incorrect. I sit stunned watching CNN as the polls trickle in …. 95% of blacks have voted black…the black segment on their panel… the “best political team” manage to keep a straight face as they talk about the country moving beyond racism. White racism perhaps, but certainly not black racism.
[...] week later the mainstream media picked up on the phenomenon. Cynthia Ruccia and Kimberly Myers went on O’Reilly, and their appearance sparked an enormous reaction from women all over America. ABC covered the [...]
