Advantage Hillary
Dear Senator Obama: Why do your campaign and its surrogates keep telling Hillary Clinton that she needs to drop out of the race? What are you afraid of – competing against a “girl”? Come on — don’t be a wimp!
Are there historical precedents? Well, Democrats like to count every vote. So — advantage Hillary?
Marc says Clinton will lead by 16,000, counting Michigan and Florida, Obama’s uncommitted votes, caucus states and the Washington primary.
The Jeremiah Wright controversy was — and, arguably, still is — a major threat to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
So why do Obama supporters want Hillary to drop out? Where their heads at?
This is quite simply the best political season of our lives.
I agree.

Maybe this will interest you. It’s about the possible origin of the “yes we can” doctrine.
Back in 1997 Jesse Jackson gave a speech, Save the Dream, against the proposition 209 that amended the California constitution to avoid preferences of genre, race or ethnicity to interfere individual rights. In this speech some references of Obama’s discourse can be found: 1) “the highest moral and ethical standards of our nation” or the core of decency as Obama puts it, 2) the prevention against the cynics that are against change and progress and that would take advantage of race bias 3) the “yes we can” or “si se puede” against those cynics.

It comes from Dolores Huerta and the UFW.
