DON’T FORGET WHY YOU’RE HERE

The community on this site is growing, and I’m loving it!!  But newbies and the rest, don’t forget that this site began as a fundraising site.  I just sent Clinton another $25.  I feel totally maxed out but I just keep trying.  I was hoping to get to TX to volunteer next week, but the [...]

Elder Statesmen

Kennedy isn’t the only legendary New England name.
Sen. Clinton has a strong lead in Rhode Island right now.  Op-eds like this one from her former legislative director, Laurie Rubiner, who came to know Sen. Clinton from rubiner’s days working for the senior R.I. GOP Sen. John Chafee - need to be circulated far and wide.
Rubiner describes [...]

Independents, dudes, or the white man?

Depending on who you ask, they’re the deciders this election.
(Is it too soon to call ‘08 44-0 for the male candidate?)

“Bitch is the New Black” - Open Thread

Surely you’ve all seen the SNL skits by now.  The Left Coaster has the best collection of the multiple highlights.  Echidne questions the success in reappropriating “bitch.”  She concludes:

The Daily Texan Endorses Clinton

From the mouths of (Texan) babes…The student newspaper of UT-Austin:
…we represent a crucial constituency of close to 50,000 young and enthusiastic voters, and we’ve been scrutinizing every move of the candidates leading up to today’s endorsement. …we think [Obama] prematurely considered his work in Austin done.
We’ve taken into account our communication with each campaign as [...]

Akron [OH] Beacon Journal Endorse Clinton

They write:

She has moved beyond those harshly partisan times. She has worked effectively with Democrats and Republicans, even those who once pushed for the impeachment of [...]

And yet we’re repeatedly shouted down around here…

From Echidne of the Snakes:
…a study published in December by the Pew Internet & American Life Project found that among Web users ages 12 to 17, significantly more girls than boys blog (35 percent of girls compared with 20 percent of boys) and create or work on their own Web pages (32 percent of girls [...]

Clinton campaign not responsible for photo of Sen. Obama in Somali dress

This story has been spiraling all day.
Began with Drudge, blogs ran with it, Clinton campaign denied association with the photo circulation.
This is the latest story that caused me to write this over at my site.  How much more of this tit-for-tat can we reasonably take?  I need a pep talk stat!!!
